I found an exciting opportunity for summer today - an academic summer camp geared toward students with language processing problems. I really want two of my students - we'll call them Gerald and Anna - to go, but it is prohibitively expensive -- $3050 per student for one month of full-day camp!!! The camp day consists an hour and forty-five minutes of reading/writing instruction followed by "normal" camp activities: an adventure course, a swimming pool, basketball. I really hope I can figure out a way to get these kids there!
I am working on a way to generate funds through donations. I also want the kids to maybe write a bit about how much they want to go.
